A quick introduction

Hello, I'm Shanah Michele, an integrative therapist and educator. I'm delighted that you've found my page. In this short video, I share a bit about who I am, what I do, and how I might support you on your journey. Feel free to explore my website, enjoy the free content, and check out my blog. I cover a wide range of topics related to relational living — whether it's the relationship with oneself, our movement, nutrition, connection to the earth, or our interpersonal relationships. Enjoy, and I look forward to connecting with you soon!

"What I've learned from Shanah, I wish I had known 20 years ago! Not only have I discovered my attachment style, but I've also learned to identify a potential partner's attachment style, and more importantly, I now RECOGNISE which behaviours Don’t serve the type of CONNECTION i desire. I've learned how to identify BEHAVIOUR traits that may be negative for my own, how to use healthy masculine energy, and I've cultivated effective communication skills. Now, armed with self-love and the right tools, I'm looking forward to building a healthy, long-lasting relationship, and I couldn't be happier."

I have attended counselling on and off for many years.

As such I’ve experienced different methodologies and practitioners - I can confidently say Shanah was a breath of fresh air and I wished I had met her at the beginning of my self awareness and growth journey.

What I found different about Shanah, is that she combines a multifaced approach, encompassing current Psychology theories as well as holistic practices, with the added bonus of a vast experience in nutrition.

Shanah intuitively knew which modalities were ideally suited for me. She listened carefully and empathetically but more importantly provided a strategic plan that actually worked. We looked at the whole picture of what I was wanting to achieve in my relationships, health and life goals. She guided me in learning more about my patterns that didn’t meet my needs anymore, and what was working well, resulting in a nice life balance. My relationship has flourished, Ive learnt not to push people away because of past trauma and I’m much calmer. I learnt new things, which was refreshing especially when you’ve experienced counselling previously.

I believe that to heal fully you must treat the body, mind and spirit as an interconnecting whole. It is so refreshing to finally find somebody who has a professional toolkit that’s packed with an array of taonga that can achieve this.
